39. Larb Mote Daeng
Don't you know about red ants???
it is impossible if you are an asian, i can even say this insect lives in everyone house...
Red ants or usually called fire ant because of it's ability to make everyone it is bites feels like burned for awhile and several effect for skin...
Indonesian use it's egg as bird feed or indonesian called it "kroto"
Meanwhile in thailand, for people fire ant eggs are precious ingredients in several thai foods.
Not only the eggs, even the ants were included at the dish XP yikezz
how can people eat such things like this....
they named it "larb mote daeng"...
they even bet for people who eat this, they said " just close their eyes and make them eat it, i bet they'll definitely admit it delicious and addicted as long as they eat it in closed eyes".
Unfortunately, it is disgusting just only for imagine eat ants' eggs.
But they said the ants tastes like lime juice since they eats mango leaves...
and the eggs is fatty, tastes like pure butter with rich flavor.
if you don't mind eating such weird foods just go on and eat it...

40. Yam Kai Yeow Maa
Salad, one of people favorite appetizer..
vegetable or fruit salad..everyone loves this food : )
in party, dinner, or everywhere you order appetizer maybe salad is the most recommended :D
It's rich of nutrition since it made of vegetables and foods.
Low of fats either rich of antioxidant make them the best recommendation for those who takes diet.
but ladies and gentlemen let's put some "spice" on it. I mean a little change... :D
The one changes it is thailand people, they got their own salad named "Yam Kai Yeow Maa".
Then what so special from it?? isn't that just ordinary a people's style of creation???
Nope, Yam Kai Yeow Maa is salad which made of vegetables and "special duck egg".
Special duck egg???

the egg here is duck egg which already fermented. The egg colored black and has chewy texture. People said the egg tasted like chalk, how gross...
They said they're bored with the taste of ordinary boiled egg, so they looks for the different sensation.

41. Kai Khao
People in thailand has the same food as philippines' balut.
Balut or half matured egg is boiled. Inside the egg we could find the embryo of duck ( the ordinary one was duck ).
then just imagine how gross the sensation. Eating egg with whole cooked duckling body. XP euuuhh
They said the sensation was a crispy sensation when you munch it, maybe you could puke. LOL.
And the other sensation is removing feathers from your teeth. >p<

As they said : "it's tastes like ordinary boiled egg, but with extra sensation which gives you rich flavor and sensation."

42. Gaeng Sataw
Maybe for indonesian it is a joke i writes about "gaeng sataw". Why???
Because it is same as "Petai" in indonesia. LOL
yeah maybe for others it is a gross.
Since this dish, which made of the relatives of peas, smells like your fart. Maybe even your fart better then this one.LOL. wahahahaha.
They said the smells strong only you from afar, but when you near it, the smell just nothing but weak bad smell. hahahaha.
They said it's rich of nutrition. maybe it's right since it's one of beans.

35. Goong Ten (Dancing Shrimps)
Shrimps moves freely in the water with sudden rapid movement...it's swims in the change of pace..he bent his back and then moves like a jet...hahahahaa
although it's outside of water, shrimps are able to jump with the same methods of his movements in water...bent..and jump..*hop..*hop.. :D
In thailand people loves this shrimps...everyone in this world of course knew if shrimps is tastes good...but how about shrimps with the way of the thai serves???

It's named Goong Ten which means "Dancing Shrimps", why dancing?? because it's served when it's still alive :D
Small transparent shrimps served alive in a metal bowl and eaten as it....:D
The reason they loves this food because it's entertaining and tasty... :D

It is fermented oyster soaked with thick red-blood colored sauce. Not Only Foreigners, even thai people don't dare to eat this food because of it has potential causing diarrhea...only those who like the taste of fermented shellfish since childhood... XP
38. Gong Chae Nam Pla
The Praying Mantis...
Is a bug related to grasshopper...
but mantis eats insects...
even cannibal...>_<

it's actually related with lobsters and shrimps... they're crustaceans...they're named "mantis lobster"
and the extraordinary one is it's appearance....they're freak...alien-looking animal...disgusting...weird..even scary >_<
even thou...european loves this food and sells it with high price...but in southeast asia it's easily to get :D
Thai people got their way of serving this animal...
they got dish named "Gong Chae Nam Pla"
it is dish made of raw mantis shrimp marinated with fish sauce
it is just because of it's condition, raw served dish...XP oh God..it looks horrible...
It's claws....it's tentacles....even it's bulging eyes which kept looking towards the middle of your slurping the slippery flesh...
And even risk of cuts your throat are available when you try to suck out of this shrimp's meat...XP
Darn it...whatta weird food....God...

31. Fried Gecko
Took..tototokk..tokeeeekk... :D
Gecko, this noisy reptile lives inside old buildings or houses. It's hard to find for you who lives at city but on the contrary the rural villagers got this animal easily :D
This big lizard different from lizards which lives in swamps, because it's lives at up-high places. they have ability of crawling at the wall, they got such sticky feet :D just like spiderman maybe hahaha.
I got itchy feeling in every single time look at this reptile. It's polka-dot skin .... Hiiiii (>_< )Yikeezzz

32. Sea Cucumber Chips (keripik teripang)
Sea cucumber, hear at it's name it should be a funny animal which came to your mind. A green vegetable swims through the sea, floats here and there. LOL. hahahahaha
Well just quit day dreaming because this animal is a scavenger.
It has such frightful appearance, it isn't cute or funny at all.
Well the wise said that don't judges people from it's appearance. This leftover-eater being liked because of it's taste. It's savory taste gonna rock your tongue hahahaha.
Indonesian made it as chip which named, keripik teripang.
This chip is easily found at Tuban, a city near bojonegoro and in Northern~East-Java, or maybe you can make some request since it is my JASSA. If you pay me, the goods guaranteed to delivered soon after the transaction. wahahahaha.
33. Porcupine (sate dan rica-rica landak)
Spiky hair,.....
i dunno exactly about this hairstyle became booming : P
Because i hate it my self, seems like a porcupine-headed guy. hahahaha.:D
Well talked about spiky hair, porcupine is an animal with spiky hair too. So if you like spiky hair you are one of their relatives. hahahaha. Just kidding dude!! just gives your best for your appearance ^^)v. It's should be lovely for some people.
Well people thought those horns-shaped things were horns, but it's hair actually which developed from it's evolution for self-protection. :D
If it's attacked, they'll straightened their hair. Such a nice a natural ability. : )
Talked about porcupine, some people in indonesia consumes it. Well it's weird for me XP
They cooked it become satay and rica-rica, a delicious indonesian food :). but i cant stand if it's ingredient was porcupine T_T

yeah everything i said about bojonegoro doesn't mean it's only existed in my hometown. But why bojonegoro always involved here?? Because my inspirations flows every single time i remembering this small town. : )
27. Ndog bonor ( Egg failed to hatch)
I remember when my sis told me about his teacher, Alm.Pak son, when we was in elementary school. : p
What so special???
Well "pak son" told his students about his habit eating egg which failed to hatch. XP
Kinda heard like balut, the unhatched duck egg from philippines,
But this thing was from unhatched chicken egg, well it isn't unhatched egg which cooked, but the failed one, yeaah it's failed to hatch, so we can say this things as dead fetus too :D

He said the best part was the cartilage crush, it's when you take a bite from the duck's bone, since it's immature, all of the duck's bones still undeveloped and still in cartilage form.
It's crunchy bite when you chew it's claw, beak, head, Yeaahh every single bone you will tastes the sensation. *Kriiuuukkkk

yeah some of the egg failed to hatch since the fetus unestablished, but some were dead just few days before it's gonna hatch.
The pict i got was the egg with unestablished fetus.
28. Pangolin (trenggiling)
Hard scales covers whole of it's body,
With such weird and horrible appearance,
Yeah that's pangolin
My housemaid in bojonegoro origin from a rural place, temayang.
She told me about people in her village,
And one of things which were told was habit of hunt and eating pangolin.
Awful animal to eat i think XP
She said it's difficult to find since pangolin lives beneath the soil, just like a mole.
But carrying pangolin was too easy unlike what usually people thought.
If this animal was threaten, it's rolled up it's body into a ball-like shape.
So just roll it. XP
What a pitiful animal :'(
29. Sea Turtle (Penyu)
I couldn't find any other things from bojonegoro at this time, so let's move to others. XP
Chinese old story told about sea turtle was their ancestor's savior,
So they loves sea turtles. Till now, in Tuban, (city which near from bojonegoro, and still in a same region, Northern East Java, My JASSA(rainbow of my nation). LOL :D (an advertising of my JASSA). Of course with Mdm. Agnes's guidance)

Back to the story, they still got traditions of paints sea turtles shell with han zi or chinese writing about their wishes. People believed that sea turtles brings good fortunes. People who came not only from Tuban it's self, but any other town. This tradition held in the beach in front of a temple. :D Just pay a visits to Northern East Java :D The temple is an international-class tourism place. It's a guarantee if you have a visit you'll amazed :D
Sea turtles, which as my grandpa told since i'm in kindergarten, it's get long lasting life or long lifespan. Even lived for hundred years.
And it's said in the TV that sea turtles were threaten since it was in egg form. Boars, lizards even human endangered this animal's egg. Move to the new born, it's gets it's predator, big fishes and other larger sea animal. Even the mature were endangered by predators, and the most dangerous predator was human.
Some people in coastal places in Indonesia still secretly hunt and eat this animal, not only to be eaten, but also being smuggled. Just like in Bali it's cooked into lawar ( before it's forbidden) also people in bengkulu eat it ( with a reason of tradition) : P

30. Centipede (kelabang)
Everything about philippines was thought as extreme habit of eating :D
Of course they got this branding, they eats insects, weird stuffs even the frightful one : (
I've mentioned much of them, although i haven't discovered all of their extreme foods, the next will be centipede.
Some people usually gotten tickled feels when see a crawling insects, the ordinary was 6-footed or 8. But this centipede got plenty of legs :D hahahaha
Just imagine if you eat it alive, it's gonna crawls all over your intestines and tickles you, and how if it's crawled inside your throat. Oooh God, i can't stand it :'(( huaaa
Since it's got poison, i just cant believed if people eats poisonous insects without getting poisoned. >_<
How about imagined this insects lives just like us, it's gonna be troubled with wearing shoes. LOL!!!
