My dad told me about his childhood some of those memories contains memories of extreme food.
Horn beetle or named as wangwung in java, is one of coconut farmer enemy. Wangwung makes big loss for famers, it eats coconut trunk in rapid.
And now my highlight is the larvae of wangwung, people eats this kind of worm. They cracked rotten coconut trunks to get this larvae or gendu.

It's has identical appearance with the larvae of sagoo.
16. Laron / Alates
Have you ever saw some flying creature which flies toward any kind of light source in rainy season. Laron is the newborn queen of termites which flies in purposes to get new place to make a new colony.
indonesian, including my sister ever tried it in fried condition. If you interested in it, just tear-up it's wings and fried it. Just as usual insects always tastes salty, savory and crunchy.
17. Ampo / Clay
In Tuban, one of city of my JASSA which quite near from my hometown Bojonegoro, said that some people there eat it.
Believing it as medicine made them can't be stopped eating this baked clay. They made it in wafer-stick shaped then baked it.
I can't figured it out, how people got appetite eating soil???
I just can't stand it. Soil which possibly being a place which germs lives and reproduces gotten eat. Maybe they didn't consider about soil pollution which recently increased.
18. Monkey
Our relatives, as darwin said, monkeys, got it's habitat in our country indonesia, especially in kalimantan (borneo).
Shocked a bit after heard it from one of my friends O_O
but it said people there eat monkeys, especially for it's brain.
It's an identical habit with people of india.
